Photographs

I finally found the perfect setting for polish shots. Please excuse my earlier attempts at swatching as they are quite pitiful.

An oldie, but a goodie.

Essie's Wicked is a color that I cannot live without. In my opinion, it's one of the best vampy-reds on the market. Out of all my polishes, this bottle is missing the most, which says a lot. I usually use a color once or twice, tops. This color keeps coming back for more, especially in the winter months when I'm feeling saucy ;)

Green Goddesses

I've recently discovered the color green. I've always been afraid to wear green polish because my skin is so fair, I was afraid that I'd look ridiculous with such a vibrant color on my nails. Luckily, I've found two greens that I absolutely adore.

Rescue Beauty Lounge, Recycle. OMG - how amazing is this color? I absolutely love the richness of the green and the fact that it's so dark and wintery feeling. It's almost a "vampy" color, which is AMAZING! Admittedly, I borrowed this color from my friend, Heather as I have not been able to break down and spend the money on RBL, yet. However, with my growing list of wants from them, I'm thinking a splurge may come soon.

Zoya, Midori. Another amazing green. It's light and summery. I got this when Zoya had a giveaway for receiving their 5000th twitter subscriber. This green shimmer would look amazing on any skin tone and looks awesome as a pedicure as well. Zoya is quickly becoming one of my favorite brands. Their polish lasts for DAYS without chipping or cracking.

First up, China Glaze OMG

I was super excited to receive this Holo. It's my first, you see and I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Admittedly, it was a bit difficult to apply but once I added a second coat, this truly because amazing. It radiates shaydes of purple, gold, pink, green and of course, silver. The other great thing about holos is that they tend to dry quicker than regular creme polish. I LOVE THAT!

The Original Pictures

Ok, so I'm not the best with taking pictures. I started taking pictures of my Manicure of the Day with my iPhone - which does not take the best shots. I'm working up to using my actual camera which means that as time rolls on, the pictures will get better.

Addiction? Yes, please.

About 7 months ago, I became obsessed with painting my nails. For years I left my nails bare, seldom using color. When I did, it was a nude or a vampy brown/red - so boring! And then, I discovered color. Blues, grays, purples, oranges, yellows, the list goes on. Now, an intervention is being planned on my behalf. And that's where my story begins...

For the first few weeks, I'll probably post some of my favorites currently in my obsession (because I am unemployed and should NOT be spending money)and then we'll see what happens next :)

Enjoy the ride, I know I will.
